Heard learned counsel for the applicant.

It is informed that the applicant died while in custody. So far as the bail application is concerned, no further orders can be passed.

However, I have taken into consideration the affidavit filed by the respondent. Affidavit records that an inquiry has been initiated by the Magistrate into the custodial death of the applicant. The order of the Magistrate records that the relatives of the applicant are allowed to participate in the inquiry.

In this view of the matter, there is no doubt that the inquiry which has already been initiated will be taken to its logical end, at the earliest.
