The Applicant apprehends his arrest in C.R.No.174/2023 registered with Vijapur Naka Police Station, Solapur for offences punishable under sections 376(2)(j), 376(2)(n) of the Indian Penal Code and section 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.

The victim had initially alleged that the Applicant had sexual abused her. The victim was pregnant and she has delivered a child. Subsequently, in her supplementary statement, the victim implicated the co-accused. Considering the said statement, the Applicant was granted interim bail. Learned APP states that DNA report shows that the co-accused is the biological father of the child. 1/2

In the light of the above facts and circumstances, interim bail granted to the Applicant by order dated 20/07/2023, stands confirmed.
