The applicant is seeking pre-arrest bail in Crime No.521 of 2022 registered with Mohol Police Station, District - Solapur (Rural) for the offence punishable under Sections 323, 354, 354-A, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 8 and 12 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

Heard rival claims.

Case of the prosecution is, the victim, who was residing in a hostel managed by the father of the applicant, was dealt with in the manner which attracts an offence under Sections 354, 354-A of IPC and Sections 8 and 12 of the POCSO Act.

The fact remains that the applicant is a student and has no criminal antecedents.

Considering the nature of the allegations against the applicant and the fact that the investigation in the matter is almost over, in my opinion, it will be appropriate to protect the applicant. 7.

In view thereof, in the event of arrest of the applicant in Crime No.521 of 2022 registered with Mohol Police Station, District - 1/2

Bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- with one or two sureties in the like amount. The said applicant shall not directly or indirectly try to influence the prosecution witnesses and tamper with the evidence. Till the charge is famed, the applicant shall not enter the jurisdiction of the police station. 8.

Application is disposed of accordingly.
