The present public interest litigation (PIL) came to filed on account of delay in filling up various posts numbering 53 in various office of the State Information Commission, by explaining the hurdles caused to the public to secure information for want of officials. Subsequent to filing of this PIL, respondent No.3 has filed affidavit-in-reply. Para-7, page-29 of the said affidavit-in-reply gives details that except three posts of Section Officers all other posts are filled up.

In the light of the above progress, we are of the opinion that there is no need to keep the matter pending. Accordingly, the PIL is disposed of by directing respondent No.3 to complete the process of filling up the remaining posts within six months from today.
