The petitioner has assailed the order of detention passed against the petitioner under the provisions of subsection (1) of Section 3 of the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Slumlords, Bootleggers, Drug Offenders,

jdk 2 20.crwp.2902.13.j.doc Dangerous Persons and Video Pirates Act, 1981. The learned A.P.P. has tendered communication from the Superintendent of Mumbai Central Prison, Mumbai which shows that the petitioner has completed the period of detention and has been released from prison.
