An FIR came to be registered against the petitioner for an offence under Sections 387, 506(2), 504 of the IPC. The petitioner is praying for direction that his licensed weapon shall not be seized by the police during the course of investigation. The petitioner is also facing a show cause notice dated 23/5/2016 issued under Section 17 of the Arms Act, 1959.
Learned APP submits that the petitioner is on anticipatory bail. By written communication, petitioner was directed by the IO to surrender his arm, but the petitioner has failed to do so. The State has filed an application for cancellation of anticipatory bail.
