These Civil Applications seek condonation of delay in the institution of the appeals. However, till today, service is incomplete upon the respondents.

Taking into consideration the meagre amount of compensation awarded by the Reference Court, and for the reasons set out in order dated 06 February 2017 in Civil Application No.5080 of 2001 in First Appeal Stamp No.12511 of 1999, the Civil Applications and consequently the Appeals are dismissed. 4.

It is made clear that the dismissal of these appeals is not to be taken as approval of the rate determined by the Reference Court insofar as other matters arising under the same acquisition notification are concerned.

The Civil Applications and the Appeals are disposed of accordingly.
