Our attention is drawn to paragraph 5 of the Afodavit dated 22nd November, 2021 filed by the Tahsildar Murud, District - Raigad. 2.

The learned Counsel representing the State states that in view of Sub Section (2) of Section 20 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 (the Code), the Collector will carry out an inquiry.

In view thereof, we pass the following Order : i.

The Collector shall hold an inquiry and after hearing the parties, pass his orders strictly on merits.

ii.

The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from today.

iii.

All steps taken by the parties in the meantime qua the subject land shall be subject to the further orders passed by this Court in the proceedings taken out by any of the parties and / or by any appropriate authority. iv.

All contentions of the parties are kept open. v.
