The criminal application is filed for condoning the delay of seven months and two days occurred in filing the aforesaid appeal against conviction. By the impugned order, the applicant is convicted of offence punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and sentenced to suffer life imprisonment. The applicant has explained the delay by making averment in paragraphs 2 to 6 of the application. We, therefore, allow the criminal application by condoning the delay of seven months and two days. The criminal application is, accordingly, disposed of.

The Registry is directed to number the appeal and place it for admission on 13th April, 2017.
