The Petitioner-society's proposal of the proposed society of women members, was rejected by both the Authorities, based upon the Government Resolution dated 4 January 2000, by giving reasons specifically that the proposal of the proposed society was in violation of the Rules and mandate of Section 4 of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960, (for short, the MCS Act). 1/2
ssm 2 236-wp9604.04.sxw This Court on 15 March 2005, though admitted the Petition, there is no positive order passed by this Court, even after alleged undertaking was placed on record. There is no positive order since the year 2004-2005. The Petitioner-Society was not even registered and the proposal for registration, itself was rejected. It appears that they are not interested in the matter. Therefore, I am inclined to dispose of the present Writ Petition with liberty to take out appropriate Application, based upon any Resolution and/or provisions for such proposal. The Respondents to consider the same, if the Application is made, in accordance with law.
The Writ Petition is disposed of, with liberty. Rule is accordingly disposed of.
