This is an application seeking direction for issuance of passport for a period of 10 years.

The applicant has been convicted for an ofence punishable under Section 353 of Indian Penal Code. The revision application challenging the conviction has been admitted by this Court and it is pending for fnal disposal. The sentence of imprisonment has been suspended. 3.
It is submitted that the applicant is advocate. Passport was issued in his favour. It had lapsed on 26.05.2018, since,
Ethape 2 41-IA-2864-2022.doc the revision application challenging conviction is pending before this Court, the applicant has preferred application before this Court for seeking direction for issuance of passport of 10 years.

The applicant is convicted for ofence under Section 353 of IPC vide judgment and order dated 07.01.2008, passed by learned Metropolitan Magistrate 32rd Court, Mumbai and sentenced to sufer imprisonment of three months. Appeal was dismissed vide judgment and order passed by Sessions Court dated 24.08.2009. Revision Application No. 531 of 2009 is admitted on 10.09.2009. 5.
Considering the factual aspects of this matter, I pass the following order:-
ORDER
(i) Interim Application No. 2864 of 2022 is allowed. (ii) The respondent No.2 to issue passport to the applicant for a period of 10 years subject to Rules and Regulations. (iii) Interim Application stands disposed of.
