The Petitioner has sought to call into question the order dated 18 March 2015 of Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (`Tribunal') in Original Application No.1146 of 2012. It clearly appears from the record that the Petitioner had applied for the post of Police Constable under Maharashtra Police Recruitment 2011 process and had claimed horizontal reservation as a sports person. She was not selected though qualified in the written test, on account of the fact that sports certificate produced by her was not found to be valid. It further appears that thereafter the Petitioner had sought selection from open female category and produced a Non-creamy Layer certificate dated 22 February 2012, though it was made clear in

2 of 2 WP.747.2016 the advertisement that such certificate had to be dated 1st November 2011 or earlier.

By the time the Tribunal decided the application of the Petitioner, the recruitment process was already over and no relief in any case could be granted to the Petitioner. No ground is made out for challenging the reasoning adopted by the Tribunal in the impugned order. Therefore, the petition is summarily dismissed. No order as to costs.
