This is an application under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 by the Applicant apprehending his arrest under Crime No.RC PUNE/2017/A/0012 dated 17 August 2017 registered as C.B.I. A.C.B., Pune, for offences under Sections 420, 468, 471 r/w 120-B of The Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

It is seen that by an order dated 2 August 2019, this court (Corum : Sarang S. Kotwal, J.) had granted interim protection to the

Mr. Venegavkar, learned Counsel for Respondent No.2-CBI, submits that investigation has been completed and a charge-sheet has been filed. The presence of the Applicant is not required for the purpose of investigation. Learned Counsel for the Applicant states that in view of filing of charge-sheet, the Applicant will be filing an application for a regular bail within two weeks from today. The interim protection granted by this court shall continue to operate for a further period of four weeks from today, to enable the Applicant to file the application for a regular bail before the court.
