Heard learned counsel for the parties on the Civil Application No. 1848 of 2017.

Through this Civil Application the Applicant-State is seeking extension of time fixed in various Writ Petitions for taking decision by the Secretary (Roads), Public Works Department, Maharashtra State.

We find that the time to consider and take decision has been extended once and now the extended time has been expired on 31st July, 2017. In the Application the difficulty has been expressed in deciding the representations within the time fixed. 5.
The Secretary (Roads), Public Works Department, Maharashtra State is present in person. He submits that due to large number of representations were to be decided, the decision as aforesaid could not be taken within time. He, however stated that the order passed by this court for deciding the representations will be complied with on or before 23rd August, 2017 positively. 6.
In view of his statement and undertaking as above, we dispose of the Civil Application by extending the time to decide the representations up to 23rd August, 2017.

Needless to say that in case the representations are not decided up to 23rd August, 2017, the matter will be viewed seriously.
