By the present Petition, Petitioner has prayed that his statement recorded under Section 18(1) of The Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999 (for short, "the MCOC Act") be treated as null and void and retracted with immediate effect. He has given some reasons for withdrawing of his statement and/or retracting the same.

The Petitioner is at liberty to file appropriate application before the Trial Court, if so advised and permissible under the provisions of law for retracting of his statement recorded under Section 18(1) of the MCOC Act. 3.
