This is an application for condonation of delay of 2 years and 119 days in preferring the present Appeal against the conviction of Applicant/Appellant.

Ms. Ayubi, learned Advocate appointed to represent Applicant submitted that, Applicant is in jail since 04.11.2016 and therefore, after pronouncement of the impugned Judgment & Order, could not prefer Appeal within the stipulated period. She further submitted that, Applicant thereafter addressed a letter to the High Court Legal Aid Committee for providing him legal aid and thereafter, she has been appointed to represent Appellant. She submitted that, in the said process, the delay has caused.

Perusal of Application would indicate that sufficient cause is made out for condonation of delay.
