P.C.:- Learned counsel for the Petitioner fairly submitted that, a statutory Appeal under Section 53(1A) of the Maharashtra Stamp Act is maintainable before the Chief Controlling Revenue Authority, for impugning Order dated 26th July, 2021 passed by the Additional Stamping Registrar, Mumbai.

In view thereof, the Petitioner is relegated to adopt the said alternate statutory remedy available at his disposal. Writ Petition is accordingly disposed off.

It is however made clear that, the present Petition is disposed off in view of the availability of statutory alternate remedy and this Court has not adjudicated merits involved in the present matter. 1/2

ssm 2 30-wp6711.21.doc Needless to mention that, the Petitioner is entitled for and will get benefit of the Common Orders passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Suo Motu Writ Petition (Civil) No(s).3/2020, thereby extending the period of limitation for filing Petitions/Applications/Suits/ Appeals and all other proceedings prescribed under the general law of limitation or under the Special Laws (both Central and/or State).
