Heard. By this Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the Petitioner seeks direction to the Respondent to take strict action against the persons involved in carrying on the business of public transport in private vehicles without license/permit issued under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that during pendency of the Writ Petition, the Respondent has filed an affidavit showing that they have already constituted a Special Squad to take action against such persons. He submits that the Respondent has also filed Affidavit-inReply dated 26.07.2017 showing the data about the action Basavraj G. Patil 1/2

He submits that in view of the subsequent development, he received instructions from his client to withdraw the Writ Petition in view of the fact that the Respondent has already appointed a Special Squad to take action against such persons, regularly. To that effect, he has given in writing. Same is taken on record and marked "X" for identification. 3.

The Writ Petition stands disposed of as withdrawn with liberty to the Petitioner to point out such vehicles, if they notice, in future, to the Respondent.

No order as to costs.
