The learned counsel appearing for the State Election Commission states that in view of the subsequent amendment to the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961, the State Election Commission will not act upon the Notification dated 23rd July 2015 which is impugned in this Petition. We accept the said statement. Hence, the Petition will not survive and accordingly, the same is disposed of.
