By this writ petition, the petitioner challenges the communication dated 9th January 2009 whereby the Council of Architecture-respondent No.3 rejected the re-nomination of the petitioner on respondent No.3Council, as a nominee of the State of Maharashtra. On perusal of the impugned communication, it is revealed that the respondent No.3 has rejected the proposal for re-nomination of the petitioner on the ground that the provisions of Architects Act, 1972 do not provide for retrospective validation of existing membership term. On perusal of the material available on record, it is revealed that the petitioner was holding the post of Chief Architect, Government of Shraddha Talekar PS 1/2

Since, the period of three years for which the nomination was sought has already lapsed by efflux of time, nothing survives for adjudication in this petition.
