By this Application, the Applicant seeks extension of time of 8 weeks to furnish sureties, pursuant to the Order dated 16.12.2016 passed by this Court (Coram : Revati Mohite Dere, J.) in Cri. Appln.No.1500 of 2016.

At the outset, learned counsel presses only for prayer clause (a), which reads thus :- "(a) That and extension of 8 weeks be provided to furnish sureties in the above bail Application."

This is the second extension sought by the Applicant. The Applicant was enlarged on bail vide Order dated 16.12.2016 and was granted cash bail in the sum of Rs.50,000/- for a period of four weeks and the Applicant was, thereafter, required to furnish one or two sureties in the sum of Rs.50,000/-. On 16.01.2017, six weeks were granted to the Applicant by this Court. It is informed that verification of the sureties is still pending before the learned Judge and hence, the present Application.

For the reasons set out in the Application, the Application is allowed. Time to furnish sureties is extended by a period of eight weeks from today. The trial Court to expedite the verification of the sureties and complete the process at the earliest.

Accordingly, the Application is disposed of.
