This application is registered on the basis of communication sent by the convict through jail. Prayers made are to the effect that the delay in filing the appeal challenging conviction be condoned and the applicant be provided legal aid by appointing an Advocate to represent him at the cost of the State. The applicant/accused is convicted of offences punishable under Section 370 of Indian penal Code as well as under Section 3, 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956. ORDER

(i) The delay in preferring the appeal is condoned. (ii) Shri.Shantanu Phanse, the learned Advocate on the Panel of Legal Aid of this court is appointed to represent the applicant/appellant.
