On the backdrop of the order dated 28 February, 2024 passed by the Court, learned AGP has placed on record a notification dated 29 February, 2024 issued by the State Government in exercise of powers conferred under Section 40 of the Maharashtra Rent Control Act, 1999 thereby appointing the 5th Joint Civil Judge, Junior Division and Judicial Magistrate First Class, Pune as a Competent Authority. 2.

In view of such notification and as the Competent Authority is already appointed, further adjudication of the petitions are not called for. They are accordingly disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Competent authority for early disposal of its pending proceedings. All contentions on the pending proceedings are expressly kept open.

Disposed of. No costs.
