2] In pursuance of the advertisement issued in the year 1993, the petitioner appeared and submitted his candidature for the post of driver with respondent No.4. According to the petitioner, after verification of the documents, he was asked to appear on 4th March 1993. On that date, the preliminary examination was not carried out and thereafter the petitioner was asked to remain present on 5th March 1993. The case of the petitioner is that thereafter he was asked to attend the interview on 17th November 1994, but on that date, the interview was cancelled. The grievance of the petitioner is that Dinesh Sherla 1/2

2 505-1348-16.sxw thereafter the petitioner had not been called for interview and the appointment has not been given to him. In the circumstances, the petitioner has filed this petition on 18th August 2015 with a prayer that respondent Nos.1 to 4 be directed to consider and appoint him on the post of driver.

3] We find that the petitioner in regard to alleged cause of action, which accrued in the year 1993-1994, has been filed more than 20 years that too without explaining any delay. In the circumstances on the ground of delay and laches the petition deserves to be and is hereby dismissed.
