This is an application for bail in connection with CR No. 24 of 2018 registered with D.N. Nagar Police Station for the offences punishable under Sections 370(3), 34 of Indian Penal Code and Section 4 and 5 of PITA Act. The applicant is arrested on 13th January, 2018. The investigation is completed and the chargesheet has been filed.

The prosecution case is that reliable information was received that one lady Aruna is providing girls for prostitution in Andheri Area. Trap was laid with the help of bogus customer and panchas. Two girls were intercepted. The statements were recorded. On perusal of the statement of Smt. Manju Badri Verma and Smt. Amarpreet Singh which were recorded on 13th January,

Sknair 4-ba-1852-18.odt 2018, it appears that they are major women. The statement does not indicate that they were forcibly put into prostitution by the applicant accused. The offence under Section 4 and 5 of the PITA Act is punishable with two years and five years respectively. 3.

Investigation is completed and the chargesheet has been filled. The applicant is in custody from 13th January, 2018. There are no reports of criminal antecedents against the applicant. In the circumstances, the case for grant of bail is made out.

ORDER

i) Bail Application No. 1852 of 2018 is allowed; ii) The applicant is directed to be released on bail in connection with C.R. No. 24 of 2018 registered with D.N. Nagar Police Station on furnishing P.R. Bond of Rs.20,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount;

iii) Applicant shall report D.N. Police Station once in a month on first Saturday between 10 a.m. to 12 noon till further orders; iv) The applicant shall not tamper with the evidence and/or influence the prosecution witnesses.

v) The application stands disposed off.
