The petitioner is the accused in C.C. No.613/PW/2017, before the Learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 26th Court, Borivali, Mumbai. The ofence is said to be under Sections 420, 465, 467, 471 of the Indian Penal Code. The crime relates to the Life Insurance Policy, and the amount allegedly misappropriated is Rs.7,001/-.

The Petitioner's Counsel submits that the Petitioner/ Accused is a veterinary doctor. But because of the pending crime, he could not secure any employment. He wants the Court to fi the time frame for the Trial Court to decide the case eipeditiously.

Without adverting to the merits, I dispose of the Writ Petition holding that the Trial Court will make every endeavour to try the case and dispose it of eipeditiously in one year.
