The Petitioner challenges reduction of his pay scale by the management of Respondent No.1-School. The original pay scale of the Petitioner, when his appointment was approved by the Education Ofcer, was Rs.11,230/- as of the year 2012. It is his grievance that the pay scale was reduced to Rs.8,990/- from the year 2013 onwards. The school management has taken a stand that being an aided school, they have submitted his pay-bills at this very pay scale, referring to the communication of the Education Department to the school of 25.04.2011. The Petitioner's case is that his pay scale has not been correctly determined in this communication. It appears that the Petitioner has made various representations to the Education Ofcer, the last of which was on 10.03.2016. Despite these communications, there has been no response from the Education Ofcer.

On these facts, the petition can be conveniently disposed of by directing Respondent No.3-Education Ofcer to take a decision and pass appropriate orders on the Petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2016 as expeditiously as possible and in any event within a period of six weeks from today. It is ordered accordingly. Respondent No.3 shall hear the Petitioner and the school management, if they so desire, before passing any order. 3.
