The petitioner has restricted his claim only to prayer clause (a-1) to the petition, seeking a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a stipulated period. The learned AGP, on instructions, makes a statement that respondent No.2 will decide the claim of the petitioner within a period of six months. Statement accepted.

The petition is disposed of in view of the statement made by the learned AGP. We, however, clarify that respondent No.2-Committee to decide the claim of the petitioner within the stipulated time and no further extension of time will be granted therefor.
