By this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner seeks writ of mandamus against the respondent no.2-Committee to decide the application dated 19th June, 2017 filed by the petitioner for grant of caste validity certificate. 4.

The respondent no.2-Committee is directed to dispose of the said application dated 19th June, 2017 filed by the petitioner expeditiously and not later than three months from the date of communication of this order.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views on the merits of the matter. All contentions of both the parties are kept open.
