After having heard learned advocate for the Petitioners, the Court is not inclined to issue notice in the matter since the challenge herein is to the order of issuance of notice on an application under section 12 of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. 2.

The Petitioners herein are the parents-in-law of the Respondents. Since relief granted under various sections of DV Act are civil in nature, the Petitioners need not to appear before the trial court personally. They are therefore exempted from appearing before the trial court provided they are represented by an advocate and they would cooperate with further proceedings in the matter. 3.
