The learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner Mr. Tushar Sonawane on instructions seeks permission to withdraw this Petition with liberty to avail of an appropriate remedy of filing an Appeal before the Appellate Authority under Section 18 of the Arms Act. Leave granted. The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for. In case there is a limitation provided for filing of such appeal, the Appellate Authority shall keep in view the time spent by the Petitioner in prosecuting the present Petition and liberally consider the prayer of the Petitioner for condonation of delay in filing such appeal. All contentions raised in this Petition are kept open for being agitated before the Appellate Authority. In case such an appeal is filed by the Petitioner, the Appellate Authority shall expedite the hearing of such appeal and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible however within a period of 8 weeks from filing of such appeal.
