This is an application filed under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for grant of bail.

The applicant came to be arrested in Crime No. 119 of 2021 registered at Wanwadi Police Station, Pune for the offences punishable under Sections 381, 328 of Indian Penal Code. 3.
I have heard the learned Counsel for the applicant and the learned APP for the State.

According to the prosecution, the present applicant with intent to commit theft at the house of the complainant started working as Kanchan P Dhuri 1 / 2
5-BA-2700-2022.odt maid-servant in her house. It is alleged that on 8 April 2021, the present applicant committed theft at the house of the complainant and had stolen gold ornaments and cash amount.

It appears that the applicant has been released on bail in all other crimes of similar nature. The applicant is in jail for more than one and half years. Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to release the applicant on bail. Hence, the following order is passed :
(i) Application is allowed.
(ii) The applicant - Shanthi Chandran be released on bail in Crime No. 119 of 2021 registered at Wanwadi Police Station, Pune for the offences punishable under Sections 381, 328 of Indian Penal Code, on furnishing P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or two local sureties in the like amount.
(iii) The applicant shall attend the Wanwadi Police Station once in a month i.e., on first Saturday between 11.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. till conclusion of trial.
