On 21st January, 2022, the following order was passed: "

Learned Counsel for the Respondent-Corporation states that after issuing notice under section 231 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act, 1949 to one Mr. Ritesh More, the Respondent- Corporation has written a letter to the Respondent No. 6-Senior Police Inspector to provide necessary police protection so as to demolish the illegal structure, however, there is no response.

2. Learned AGP seeks time to take instructions.

Learned AGP placed on record copy of a letter dated 05.02.2022 of Senior Police Inspector, Kadak Police Station, Pune, AKN 1/2

2/2 7.WP.7586.2021.doc addressed to the learned AGP wherein it is stated that necessary police force will be provided as and when required by the Respondent-Corporation for demolition of the illegal structure. 3.

In view of the above, the Petition need not be kept pending. It is expected of the Respondent-Corporation to now act expeditiously and take necessary action for demolition of the illegal structure not later than eight weeks from today. 4.
