This is an application for condonation of delay of 17 days in filing the Criminal Appeal. The Applicant was convicted for commission of offence punishable u/s 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and u/s 354(A) of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the Applicant submitted and it is mentioned in the application that the after his conviction he was taken into custody and there was no other near relative who could have looked after the next stage of filing an Appeal. Finally a distant relative came forward and hence the Appeal could be filed.
