1] The application tendered by the Petitioners seeking permission for alienation of land under Section 36A of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966, is forwarded by the Collector Thane with necessary recommendation to the Divisional Commissioner, Konkan Division, Navi Mubai and the same is reportedly pending before the said Authority. The Petitioner wants the same to be forwarded to the State Government alongwith recommendation of the Divisional 1/2
(6)WP-8680-19.odt Commissioner, Konkan Division, Navi Mumbai. It is reported that the Petitioners have made all necessary compliance so as to forward this application before the State Government. In the circumstance, we dispose off the Petition with the following directions :
(i) The Respondents/Divisional Commissioner, Konkan Division, Navi Mumbai is directed to forward the application of the Petitioner alongwith his report as expeditiously as possible alongwith his recommendations, if any to the State Government, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of writ of this Court. The State Government shall thereafter take appropriate decision on the proposal/application as expeditiously as possible and preferably within two months from the date of receipt of proposal/application alongwith report/recommendation from the Divisional Commissioner, Konkan Division, Navi, Mumbai.
(ii) With directions as recorded above, Writ Petition is disposed of.
