Malegaon, District Nashik for the offence punishable under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Applicant was arrested on 19/08/2022. 2] Applicant is a Police Constable and role attributed to him in the prosecution story is demand of bribe of Rs 30,000/- for deleting name of the complainant from offence registered with Jaykheda Police Station.

3] Contentions of Counsel for the Applicant are, Applicant has not visited the house of the complainant on 29/07/2022, he has not accepted money from the Applicant and there are no antecedents against the Applicant.

5] Applicant is directed to be released on bail in C.R. No.206 of 2022 registered with Jaykheda Police Station, Tal. Malegaon, District Nashik for the offence punishable under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act on executing P.R. Bond of Rs 15,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount. Applicant shall neither influence the witnesses nor tamper with the evidence. Applicant shall remain outside the jurisdiction of the concerned Police Station till chargesheet is filed. 6] Application is accordingly disposed of.
