This is an application by the convict undergoing the jail sentence for directing the respondents to take him to Sassoon Hospital for performing Eye surgery as advised by the doctors. The learned APP, on instructions, submitted health report of the applicant on record and pointed out that the Chief Medical Officer of Yerwada Central Prision, Pune, has advised operation of applicant, soon after control of sugar. 905-APPA-1280-2018.doc that on getting the sugar of the applicant controlled, he will be operated soon.

In this view of the matter, as it is seen that the applicant is advised to undergo operation of an eye, the respondents are directed to take necessary steps for getting the applicant operated as per advise of the Chief Medical Officer, Yerwada Central Prison, Pune, as soon as possible, subject to the medical condition, if necessary by admitting the applicant as an indoor patient at the Sassoon Hospital.

With these observations, the application stands disposed of.
