The Applicant was convicted by the Additional Sessions Judge, Malegaon, vide order dated 05/08/2022 in Sessions Case No.88 of 2010. He was convicted u/s 307 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code. The maximum sentence imposed on him was of two years besides imposition of fine.

At one place he has mentioned that it was shown to be a simple injury, but he had also added some riders. However considering that the maximum sentence is two years and the Appeal is not likely to be decided during that period and since the Applicant was on bail during the trial, the Applicant can be released on bail during pendency of this Appeal.

Hence, the following order :

O R D E R

(i) During pendency and final disposal of the Criminal Appeal No.857 of 2022, the Applicant is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand only), with one or two sureties in the like amount.

(ii) Interim Application stands disposed of accordingly.
