Interim Application No.2523 of 2021 is filed for listing the appeal for hearing. The applicant has been convicted for the offences under Prevention of Corruption Act as well as under provisions of Indian Penal Code. It is submitted that the applicant is aged about 71 years. His children are settled abroad. He would like to join them. The appeal is pending since 2008. 2.

Considering the fact that applicant is senior citizen aged about 71 years, hearing of Criminal Appeal No.1164 of 2008 is expedited. The appeal be added to the final hearing board commencing from 6th June 2022.
