This is an application by respondent No.2 in the Criminal Appeal challenging her acquittal of the offence punishable under Section 3(1)(X) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. The applicant is an acquitted accused. State appeal challenging the acquittal is pending before this Court. The applicant is desirous of having passport. In this view of the matter, the following order;

- : ORDER :- (i) The applicant is permitted to have a fresh passport in her name.

(ii) However, in case the applicant intends to travel abroad, she must apply for permission to do so in this court.

(iii) The application is disposed of.
