By this Petition, the petitioner seeks a directions to the respondent to comply with the request made by the petitioner to the Home Ministry, Union of India vide letter dated 16th August, 2022, which is at Exhibit - "D" to the Petition. Learned APP has tendered an affidavit of Ms.Vandana Rajeshri Aher

2/2 907 wp 3923 of 2023.doc Shivram Mane, Assistant Commissioner of Police (P-1) Protection and Security Branch, Mumbai on the last date i.e. 16th April, 2024. The said affidavit is taken on record and a copy thereof is served on the learned counsel for the petitioner. In the said affidavit, the Assistant Commissioner of Police has stated that the request of the petitioner was considered and thereafter rejected. In view of the affidavit of the ACP, that as of today, there is no threat perception, nothing survives for consideration in the Petition. The Writ Petition stands dismissed, as withdrawn. Needless to state, that it is always open for the petitioner to file a fresh application, if an occasions so arises in future.
