7APPA118417 This is an application for condonation of delay of 72 days in filing the appeal challenging conviction of the applicant for the offences punishable under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO).
Heard both sides.
It is seen that because of the fact that the applicant is lodged in the prison at Amaravati and there was nobody to look after the matter, there is delay in lodging the appeal. The reasons for delay are sufficient to condone the same. Therefore, the order. Order i] Application is allowed.
