Mr. Karnik, learned counsel espousing the cause of the petitioner submits that the petitioner was convicted for the offences punishable under Sections 302, 307, 452 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code (for short IPC) and was sentenced to suffer life imprisonment. However, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has reduced the said sentence to 25 years. Mr. Karnik submits that the petitioner has made a request to transfer him from Yerawada Central Prison, Pune to District Jail Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh since his relatives had requested. 2.

In case the said application of the petitioner is not decided we direct the Superintendent of Yerawada Central Prison, Pune to take a decision on the said application in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, and Ethape
