Perusal of record indicates that, since 13th November, 2019 and on at least last five occasions, none appeared for the Appellant. By the impugned Judgment and Order, the Appellant has been convicted for the offence punishable under Sections 135 and 138 of the Electricity Act, 2003 and is sentenced to pay fine of Rs.7,66,950/- under Section 135(1)(i) of the Electricity Act, 2003 and Rs.10,000/- under Section 138 of the Electricity Act, 2003.

Perusal of record clearly indicates that, the Appellant has deposited entire fine amount on 23rd May, 2013 i.e. on the date of pronouncing of impugned Judgment and Order itself. As noted earlier, by the impugned Judgment and Order, the Appellant was sentenced to pay fine 1/2

spm 2 205-apeal78.2015.doc only. It might be reason that, Appellant is continuously remaining absent in this Court and is not interested in pursuing present Appeal. 4.
