This writ petition is wrongly shown as pending for admission because the issue raised therein is identical to a batch of petitions disposed of by this Court on 22-12-2015 challenging the constitutional validity of some of the provisions of the Maharashtra Purchase Tax on Sugarcane Act, 1962.

Since it is conceded that the issue raised is identical, the writ petition stands disposed of in terms of the Judgment delivered in Writ Petition No.2060 of 1997 {Niphad Sahakarii Sakhar Karkhana Ltd. Vs. State of Maharashtra & Others} and companion matters.

In view of disposal of the writ petition, Civil Application No.623 of 2016 does not survive and it accordingly stands disposed of.
