Police recorded statement of Omprakash Sonawane who is said to be power of attorney holder of Ms.Veena Maheshwari (Khatod) (Petitioner herein). The grievance is that though a complaint was lodged with Senior Police Inspector, Andheri Police Station, Mumbai on 5 July 2014, no first information report was registered. The allegations of the Petitioner are serious in nature. 2.

Without expressing any opinion on merits, we observe that in case Petitioner appears before the investigating officer, then her statement shall be recorded. Police then shall take appropriate decision within a week's time after recording statement. 3.

With these observations, the petition is disposed of.
