DATE : 21st JULY 2017 P.C.:
On earlier occasion, Writ Petition No.8645 of 2013 came to be disposed of which was heard along with PIL No.75 of 2011. However, in PIL No.75 of 2011, Rule came to be issued and the same is pending.

In PIL No.75 of 2011, the challenge is with regard to banning the practice adopted by villagers of Battis Shirala during the Nag Panchami Festival. Since the prayers in the said PIL are quite contra to the prayers in the present PIL, the course open to the petitioner is to implead himself in the pending PIL No.75 of 2011 so ABS
PIL 30-2017 that the lis raised in both the Public Interest Litigations can be dealt with together and disposed of on merits.
