Having heard the learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioners and the learned AGP for the State, we are of the opinion that this petition can be conveniently disposed of by directing the Respondent No. 6/Education Officer (Secondary) Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur to decide the proposal of the Petitioner to sanction two posts for 8th Standard of Petitioner's Secondary school, if not already decided, as expeditiously as possible, and within the period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the order.

Till the Petitioner's claim is decided, the RespondentsState is directed to maintain the status-quo as it exists today in respect of the post occupied by the Petitioners. 4.
