By this petition, the petitioner is challenging the notice of No Confidence Motion dated 29th August, 2016, issued by respondent No.4-Tahsildar. The notice is issued on the basis of requisition made by respondent Nos. 5 to 12.

Mr. Patil, learned counsel for the petitioner, having taken instructions from the petitioner who is present before the Court, makes a statement that the petitioner has already resigned from the post of the Sarpanch w.e.f. 8th July, 2015. He also states that as of today the petitioner is no more a Sarpanch. The statements are accepted. Shubhada S Kadam 1/2

In the light of the statements made on behalf of the petitioner, the exercise undertaken by respondent Nos. 5 to 12 is rendered infructuous. It is not necessary for respondent No.4 to proceed further in accordance with the requisition by the said respondents.
