By this petition, the petitioner is seeking directions to Respondent No.2 to decide the petitioner's caste claim expeditiously.

The learned AGP has placed on record a letter dated 12.3.2018 by the Joint Commissioner of Respondent No.2. By the said letter, it is informed to the learned AGP that the petitioner's caste claim would be decided within three months. 3.

In the light of above, as the petitioner's said claim is

Mhi WP-7531-17.doc pending since 2016, we deem it convenient to dispose of this petition by directing Respondent No.2 to decide the petitioner's caste claim made through an application dated 2.8.2016 (Exhibit `P' to the petition) as expeditiously as possible, and in any case, within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly.

It is made clear that we have not gone into merits of the matter and all points and contention of the parties are kept open. 5.

In order to enable Respondent No.2 to comply with this order,the petitioner shall remain present before the Respondent No.2 on 2.4.2018 at 11.00 a.m.

Till disposal of the petitioner's caste claim by Respondent No.2, the ad-interim relief granted vide order dated 21.12.17 shall remain in operation.

Civil application also stands disposed of.
